Embers of Starfire
Some people touch our souls so deeply, so profoundly, that meeting them feels like a gift from the universe. They leave more than fingerprints on our hearts, their touch is permanent, an imprint that changes something about our sense of who we are. These rare, precious souls light up the darkest corners of our hearts and brains, changing our attitudes, allowing us to see ourselves, others, and the world as if through new eyes.
Eliezar was such a gift.
My friend, Eliezar Botzer
News of Eliezar death in an accident on 20 December 2024, left a hole in the holidays for so many. A blessing in my life, his love for his wife Noa and their family was inspirational, aspirational to many. That and how he celebrated all things as divine through his music forged our immediate connection. While our meeting is a far longer story, you can read part of it here, shared to help you appreciate the magic behind the musical composition he created for “Embers of Starfire”.
The last verse of this work took on new meaning the evening I learned of his death, “Ascend from these islands, empowered by this sacred space, Lifting a torch of remembrance, we light the world with grace.”
I remember you, Eliezar.
